A Cold Spring Day Swim

Spring drives me crazy with its ups and downs in temps. Last Tuesday, it was in the 70s and the pool was a warm 80 so we went swimming. This Saturday, Andrew asks if the kids will go swimming with him. It is now barely 60 degrees outside and the pool is...well you can see the thermometer - it's just over 70. This is bearable, yes, and better than the 65 degrees they swam in back in January, but for me...well, I did not even put a suit on. I just brought a camera :) Jason was very proud that he jumped in and swam across the cold pool...
He actually did it again and again...he's working on his dive :) Jason loves water, loves the pool, loves swimming...doesn't matter the temperature!Adam was a bit shocked by the temperature. They are currently taking lessons once a week and that pool is over 80 degrees. I don't think Adam knew what he was jumping into!
It wasn't horribly cold so the shock wore off quickly and he had fun...
Jill on the other hand, knew to avoid the cold pool...

She enjoyed the hot tub instead...
Beth tried to swim in the cold pool but decided it was just too cold...
So she, too, enjoyed a dip in the hot tub
It was a short visit but with two visits to the pool this week, it was a taste of what's coming! We love summer around here!!!
