ImagineIt!

Back in May we enjoyed an overdue trip to the Children's Museum in Atlanta - ImagineIt! I finally uploaded pictures so here goes...They have painting on the wall, which Beth loved,
dress-up play for Jill,
and fishing for Adam! Here Jill gets some help from her brother climbing up to get a better view of the fishing :)She also got help from her brother, Jason, crossing the bridge over and over again :) This was good for Jason since much of the museum was a little young for him...although he did manage to enjoy himself when not busy caring for Jill. Here he is managing a crane that scooped up balls and transported them to a bucket. I had to nearly pull him off so other children could get a turn. Here's our buddy Zeke enjoying the day with us.
I thought this was cool. You use the big Tetris shaped blocks to try and fill in the square.
Beth dressed herself...at home, not at the museum dress-up area. You have to love this girl!

Jill and her baby

Jill has adopted one of Beth's babies as her own (which is fine by Beth who never really cared for baby dolls much.) She takes her baby everywhere (that we allow) and feeds her everything from peanut butter to oatmeal. She will play with other dolls but this is her favorite. Jill is just beginning to talk and I'm hopeful that she'll give her baby a name soon but for now it's Jill's baby doll :)

Our first time at a water park

Our cousins took us to Six Flags White Water in Atlanta. I'm not sure I would recommend such an adventure if you have non-swimmers but we still had a great day!
The park provided life vests and this mommy was very happy that the kids happily wore them since Jason is the only swimmer in this crew.
Jill loved the water. Here we are relaxing together in the wave pool.
We were watching Jason and our cousins ride the waves (see him there with the blue top in a tube riding a wave?)
The treehouse had a big bucket of water that poured out periodically.
But my other three wanted nothing to do with the waterfall!
There's Jason behind the water...
And then Simeon and Jason dancing in the rain...
Jason, again my only swimmer, loved the water park and did not want to leave, ever. He rode many waterslides (no pictures because I was off with the little ones except for this one slide that I got to ride, too. It was a single person tube down a rapids. All in all a pretty mellow slide but enough of a thrill to satisfy me :)
Troy watched the little ones while I went on the waterslide, and he proudly got Jill to sleep with no paci, quite the accomplishment! Thank you Uncle Troy!
So what do non-swimmers do at a water park? They play in the Wiggles splash area, no life vests or swimming required! By the way, cousin Talia is a great swimmer but wanted to spend the day with Beth :)
Adam loved this part of the park. It was all just his size. He didn't want to go anywhere but Wiggles World!
Thank you to all our cousins for inviting us along and taking Jason on waterslides with you and just being great!
Older cousins are really nice to have around. Here Zemenay played with Adam in Wiggles World before we called it a day...and now if we could just get Adam swimming (I think it'll happen this summer) it could be worth going back again soon!

Allatoona Dam

Another field trip...we went to the Allatoona Dam for a water safety class with the park rangers, a view of the dam and some hiking. The class was fun. Jason was picked as a volunteer to "drive" the boat that would sink and he would drown because there weren't enough life vests on board. He picked Beth to be his co-pilot and she drowned because her vest was too big.It was silly fun - the audience even got wet - and we learned: don't ever swim alone or ride a boat without lifejackets for everyone on board! We got a great view of the dam although I don't think the kids appreciated the structure and power of it, oh well... Lunch and hiking around with a bunch of friends, that was the highlight of the day!Jill even had a friend :)
My favorite part was having Andrew along. It's not often that daddy's get to go on field trips.
