Another field trip...we went to the Allatoona Dam for a water safety class with the park rangers, a view of the dam and some hiking. The class was fun. Jason was picked as a volunteer to "drive" the boat that would sink and he would drown because there weren't enough life vests on board. He picked Beth to be his co-pilot and she drowned because her vest was too big.
It was silly fun - the audience even got wet - and we learned: don't ever swim alone or ride a boat without lifejackets for everyone on board! 
We got a great view of the dam although I don't think the kids appreciated the structure and power of it, oh well... 
Lunch and hiking around with a bunch of friends, that was the highlight of the day!
Jill even had a friend :)
My favorite part was having Andrew along.
