Georgia

Being only 6 hours away from our old home in Georgia and my sister and her 8 kids, we rented a car and drove south!  The best part was meeting cousin #18 - baby Selah!
Jill especially enjoyed her new cousin.  These two are going to be trouble when we can no longer keep them locked up :)
Can you tell we're all related ;)
We enjoyed time in the pool...
Playing video games together...meet the Mario Cousins:
Watching summer storms...
And just getting to be together...
What a bunch!
We also enjoyed visiting good friends that we've missed since we moved away last summer...
It was great that our friend Zeke didn't grow up at all since we last saw him...
Oh wait, this is his baby brother, Chi!  Seriously, this was what I remember Zeke looking like, and it was kind of fun to pretend he didn't age :)
We also went to our old church and enjoyed many hugs and smiles.  It felt like we had never left.  They even sang Happy Birthday to both Beth and me...
It's great to have a place you can always go home to!

Baseball with the Longs

We were thrilled that as we arrived in Raleigh,
Braden still had play-off games for us to enjoy!
And even better - his team won the championship!!!
Check out that score in the final inning:
Everyone had baseball fun cheering him on!

Congratulations, Braden!
We are all proud of you!

Myrtle Beach - Sunset

The Big Boys

The Girls

The Little Boys
Adam wasn't cooperating (too sunny for this very tired boy!)
We finally gave up on Adam so I didn't get this fabulous shot of my crew but wow, what a picture of my gorgeous niece and nephews!
Happy Sunset!

Myrtle Beach - Part 2

Our resort in Myrtle Beach
Our view from the 12th floor
When not on the beach, some hung out on the balcony longing to be back in the sand.
Other preferred the pools to the beach.  The resort had multiple pools but the favorite attraction by far was the lazy river.
Adam wanted to be in the lazy river all day.
And it was perfect for Jill as it kept her cast out of the water but gave her the joy of being in the water.
And when it was time to take a break, there were plenty of cousins to cuddle...
A fabulous weekend that had it all!

Myrtle Beach

We arrived safely in North Carolina and after only a day, we were on our way to a weekend in Myrtle Beach.  My brother-in-law had a CLE class there so we tagged along.

7 Skelly Cousins enjoyed a weekend at the beach
(Can you see it?  They're spelling Skelly :)
I was a little worried to go with Jill in a cast but she had a great weekend!
There was a lot of time for surfing the waves (no, these were not California waves but for our young bunch, that was a good thing!)
And thanks to a courageous Aunt Janice, even Jill got a chance to ride the waves!
There was also a lot of sand castle building,
(the finished product with our girls in the background)
 hole digging,
and volcano creating with all the cousins.
And of course, plenty of time to just sit back, relax,
 read a good book,
 and just enjoy life!
What an amazing weekend and I haven't even told you about the pools...
That will have to come later cuz it's naptime on the beach...
