One of our Christmas family traditions is baking a Christmas tree cake, decorating it and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. We even have this cool silicone mold to make a three dimensional standing tree. Due to a fallout in the kitchen (literally a cake falling out of the pan), our tree cake was not as impressive as in years past. Nonetheless, we had half a cake and 5 kids ready and willing to decorate so we decorated.
We finished with a candle and a song, 
and then we ate! 
We also made, decorated, and ate some cookies in case there was not enough sugar ingestion from the cake :)
