Gymanstics for Adam & Beth

Adam and Beth both took gymnastics for the first time this fall. Their last class was an observation class for the parents so we could see how far they've come. I was proud of both our acrobats. Adam was hesitant at the beginning of the season as he was the only boy in the class but as he progressed, he really began to enjoy it. (He's in the back row, orange arms :)Adam learned to skip and became a very coordinated jumper. I loved watching him on the balance beam as he looked straight ahead with such seriousness. His monkey hang on the uneven bars was also very impressive (but my phone battery died...)
As for Beth, everything was very impressive (although she's frustrated that she doesn't quite have a cartwheel, yet). For starters, she could not do this her first week but look at her now! She does a beautiful bridge (back row in black) and handstand, and she's very poised on the balance beam.

My camera battery ran out so I didn't get video of her getting onto the high balance beam and then walking that with no teacher assistance (the only one in her class, and yes, I'm bragging with no video to back me up but it's all true!)
They both loved the class and will be taking it again starting in January. Adam's excited that he'll be in an all boy's class, and Beth's determined to get that cartwheel so she can move up to the next level!
...and then there's Jill who was copying much of what she saw. We'll see if Mommy lets her join the fun in a year or two...
